PRICING, TERMS, CONDITIONS, GUIDELINES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following terms and conditions apply to stall holder applications at The Walker Ground.
Pitch space is limited.  The Walker Ground reserves the right to refuse any application.

 

Pricing
Pitch size (3m x 3m) – grass pitch: £300.00

Timings

Time gates open to the public: from 5pm
Scheduled time for fireworks: 7.30pm (20 min display)

Road Closure (Waterfall Road): 5pm – 10pm
Carpark Closure: 3pm – 10pm
No vehicles are permitted on site after 3pm

All applications at the absolute discretion of the Trustees of The Walker Cricket Ground Trust.

Responsibilities of The Walker Ground

  • Provide a position on the ground for the number of pitches required.

  • Provide tables as required – for ground users only.

  • Provide sufficient lighting (stall holders may wish to bring supplementary lighting).

  • Provide 1 x 13amp socket (3Kw)

  • Provide details of health, safety, and emergency procedures.

 

Responsibilities of the Stall Holder

  • Provide size and layout of the stall

  • Provide detailed description of all items to be sold

  • Provide own gazebos – please note all gazebos must be of non-flammable material and non-plastic.  Gazebos must be set up by 10am on the day so that the electricians can install the lighting.  Only the gazebo needs to be in place by 10am, the rest of the stall can be set up any time during the day up to 3pm.

  • Provide own tables (except Walker Ground user clubs- if notified in advance).

  • Provide own extension leads to power up pitches and equipment.

  • Additional power supplies to pitches are not provided.  Stall holders must provide their own generator if more than one 13amp socket required.

  • All electrical appliances must be Portable Appliance Tested and include the PAT sticker on the appliance, dated and signed.

  • Provide details of the products on sale and provide customers with clear instructions (stall signs, produce and price lists).

  • Provide details of the main contact on the evening (name and contact number).

  • Keep area clean and tidy during the event; rubbish to be emptied regularly and deposited in the correct place.

  • Ensure that any hot items are kept away from the public.  No naked flames will be permitted underneath the gazebos.

  • If LPG is used, a competent person must be present to change the cylinders.

  • Remove all equipment and take down the pitch at the end of the event including rubbish.  Additional charges may be made afterwards if the rubbish is not cleared.

  • Abide by the Health & Safety Offices recommendations and requests.

  • Know and understand what do in case of an emergency.

  • Commercial caterers must supply a copy of their latest hygiene and food safety certificates, food inspection report and registration from local authority and current public liability insurance.

  • Display food hygiene rating.

  • The hirer is not permitted to bring in any alcoholic drinks of their own. Drinks are to be purchased through The Walker Bar only.

  • Provide gas safety inspection certificates if using LPG or any other forms of gas.

  • Fire extinguishers (as appropriate).

  • Stall holders must not drive vehicles on to the site after 3pm or before 10pm and no vehicle is permitted on the grass.

  • Hiring payment is to be made via Bank Transfer. No cash payments.
